Kaden Yim

Kaden has been teaching bassoon over 10 years. He teaches bassoon privately and in various local schools including Heep Yunn Primary School, Yaumati Catholic Primary School and International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School. He also works as part-time teacher of the Junior Wind Band at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.

 

Kaden actively performs as well. He has worked with Young Pro Platform, Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra, Ponte Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Orchestra, Hong Kong Strings, Gobal Orchestra Hong Kong and more. He travelled and participated in festivals including Rome Chamber Music Festival, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, International Double Reed Society Conferences, Asian Double Reed Association Conference, World Music Competition, Singapore Double Reed Weekend and more.

 

He is also a committee member of the Bassoonion, a local music group composed of bassoonists. As a baroque bassoon player, he performed Bach Mass in B minor alongside with Cammer Musicus in 2019, and Bach St. John Passion with St. John Cathedral in 2024. He also wrote music arrangement for bassoon ensemble.

ABRSM Theory Grade 8, merit

擁有超過十年的巴松教學經驗，現於私人與多間本地學校授課，包括協恩小學、油蔴地天主教小學及國際基督教優質音樂中學暨小學。他同時於香港演藝學院擔任少年管樂團的兼職導師。

​

卡登亦積極參與演出，曾與Young Pro Platform、泛亞交響樂團、Ponte Orchestra、馬勒樂團（Gustav Mahler Orchestra）、香港弦樂團、Global Orchestra Hong Kong等合作；並曾赴海外參與羅馬室樂節、庫赫莫室樂節、國際雙簧協會年會、亞洲雙簧協會年會、世界音樂大賽、新加坡雙簧週等音樂節與活動。

他同時是本地巴松團體「Bassoonion」的委員。作為巴洛克巴松演奏者，他曾於2019年與室樂團Cammer Musicus合作演出巴赫《b小調彌撒》，並於2024年與聖約翰座堂演出巴赫《聖約翰受難曲》。此外，他亦為巴松合奏編寫改編作品。
